Mikayla and Ariel High Point at UNH Wentworth Hunt Dressage CONGRATULATIONS!! Mikayla Mallett and her Dressage Pony Ariel received the High Point Score of 78% at the UNH Wentworth Hunt Club Dressage Show at Intro B Level. BOB ORTON CLINIC FEBRUARY 26, 27, 28, 2010. Bob Orton in spending a weekend at GayLee Stables. He will be working with riders of all ages and all levels of dressage. The clinic is already full but auditors are welcome. Auditing is $30 per day. Please bring a chair. Contact Roberta at 781-367-8977 for directions and more information. Bob Orton is renowned for his knowledge and training expertise of dressage horses. He has started and trained numerous dressage horses through Grand Prix. He also trains and shows young horses in hand at show such as Dressage at Devon and NEDA. He has trained, and presented stallions at their Breed Inspections for approval. 02/20/2010

Susan G. Komen For the Cure Fundraiser Sunday June 28, 2009 Our 2009 Fundraiser was a huge success again this year! Thank you to all our volunteers who stood in the drizzle for hours to raise money for this wonderful cause. Thank you to all the individuals and businesses who donated to our silent auction and raffles. You all helped us to continue to support the Susan G. Komen 3-Day to find a cure for Breast Cancer. Our hope to increase the amount we raised last year for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure was fulfilled. We received more donations for the silent auction and raffle tables. All the proceeds from our fundraiser will go to Susan G. Komen to find a cure for breast cancer. Anyone who has made a donation for the silent auction or the raffle we thank you again. 2009 Summer Fun Riding Workshops Come Join The Fun! This years dates for the Summer Fun Riding Workshops will be: July 6 ~ 9, July 13 ~ 16, & July 20 ~ 23. Be sure to sign up early as our fun and exciting workshops fill up fast. Our instructors teach children how to care for their horses/ponies while improving their riding skills. Each weeks program runs Monday ~ Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. Students will be assigned a horse/pony each day and will receive 1-2 lessons each day. After riding there will be a daily discussion and lesson on the different topics which then will be aplied, hands on for the remainder of the day. There will also be games, treasure hunts, nature walks, arts and crafts, and other fun actuvities relating to information being studied. Items covered include: stable care for horses and daily barn management, good grooming techniques, learning the different types of equipment and tack and which types of horses it is used on, how to tack up and keep tack clean, safety around horses and the barn, general first aid for the horse and rider, and how to prepare for a horse show. GayLee Stables has a wide variety of horses to match every skill level from beginner to experienced. The beginner will be matched with a mount that will build confidence, while the intermediate and advanced riders can enjoy the challenge of working with show horses. The cost of the week long program is $450.00 per child per week. All applications must be received in advance in order to secure a place for your child. There will be a maximum of 10 children per session and acceptance is on a first come first serve basis. 2008 Westphalian Inspection Our inspection was a success again this year. Our TB mare Tess was inspected and accepted into the Westphalian mare and Westphalian pony mare books. The Westphalian inspector had wonderful comments about the quality of Tess's conformation, gaits and disposition. Poetic Justice was also presented and inspected by the Westphalian Verband. The inspector was amazed at how huge he is for two and a half months old. He has very correct gaits and an outstanding temperament. GayLee Stables held the 2008 Westphalian Inspection Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:30 am. Sachi lunge lesson Sachi giving a new rider a lunge lesson. We also give beginning and returning adult riders lunge lessons. Pavana and 2008 colt On June 4th 2008, Pavana foaled an outstanding colt by VDL Prestige. This is a repeat breeding of last year's filly Phanciana and we are equally as pleased with the results. Poetic Justice aka: PJ, named after Pavana's Dam Lady Justice is perfect in every way. Pavana is starting back under saddle to continue her show career. 10/29/2008

Pavana and Phanciana Pavana and VDL Prestige produced an outstanding Westfalen filly on June 14, 2007. Shown at two days old Phanciana has four socks and a huge blaze. She is huge and correct in every way. 06/24/2007

Fraiser goes to Bermuda! We have just received great news! Fraiser a GayLee Stables bred 2000, gelding by Feiner Stern out of Liesel (Rantares/Ronada) was sold to a young rider from Bermuda. We are sure Fraiser will be very happy doing the hunters in his new home. 04/05/2006

Congratulations Lisa Brown Kucharski! Congratulations to Lisa Brown Kucharski on the purchase of Lola, aka: Justa Summer Fling. Lisa purchased Lola's 2005 colt Devito by Donarweiss but she just couldn't wait three years to see what it would be like to ride him! When Lisa's dressage mount Kodak needed a couple months off this winter Lisa started riding Lola. The two had so much fun taking dressage lessons with Karen Monks-Reilly Lisa decided she needed to buy Lola. The general concensus of opinion of everyone who has seen Lisa and Lola together is they are the perfect team! At the Wentworth Hunt Club Dressage Show at UNH Lisa and Lola placed third at Training Level. Their first show! Way to Go! Update! 2008 will see Lisa and Lola showing at third level dressage! Molly ridden by trainer Kristen Newton was 2005 circuit champion at HITS in Saugerties and the Vermont Summer Festival. She was also the 2005 Zone 1 Champion. Molly aka: Lanciana a registered Westfalen mare by Lanciano/Lord was imported by GayLee Stables as a yearling and sold to Erin as a three year old. Congratulations! Nantucket Bay & Roni Bartolini Nantucket Bay aka: Tucker, 2001, registered Selle Francais gelding by Candidus out of Sara was bred by GayLee Stables and purchased by Roni Bartolini as a yearling. Roni carefully brought Tucker along as a hunter prospect sending him to Bob Orton and Sherra Kosch as a three year old to be started under saddle.
